We only had time to stay in Opatija for 1 night. Glad we decided to stay at the Hotel Savoy. The location is idyllic with all the rooms looking over the Adriatic, and a private beach (albeit concrete) for soaking up the sun.

But the BEST PART was definitely the friendly front desk staff. They were very accommodating, easy to talk to (even though we just got off the plane and didn't speak a lick of Croatian), and friendly.

Hopefully we'll make it back to Opatija soon - and we'll definitely stay at the Hotel Savoy. more

On the water, nice 4 star hotel. We had small standard room 104, desk with one chair, large balcony with table and 2 chairs, sea view 820 Kronas plus 50 Kronas for parking including breakfast, air conditioning and heating appears to be controllable, free wi-fi in lobby if you have a laptop but got a useable signal in our room. No CNN, has mini-bar, no Kleenex or washcloths, elevator. more
