the room was pretty new, clean, confortable, with TV. But the room fridge was missing (that is very useful in summer!). the air-conditioning was working but was dropping water onto the bed.. We were forced to stay one night in Rijeka. There are only three hotels in the city believe it or not! The 3 star was full and the 4 star was completely out of our price range - so we reluctantly returned to the Hotel Continental and were given a "quiet - cool" room at the back of the hotel... more

Finding ourselves passing though Rijeka just as it was getting dark, we decided we'd better stop and find somewhere to stay rather than keep driving.
