We stayed on Floreana as part of a four night Darwin's Triangle Tour. All of the Red Mangrove lodges have a very distinctive feel making it hard to choose one as a favorite, but I just loved our stay on Floreana. As noted in the other reviews, the accommodations are basic, small cabins with three single beds and a small... more

I and my husbund finished our honeymoon with 5 days on the Galàpago's ilands. We stayed at the Red Mangrove lodges on Santa Cruz, Floreana and Isabela and we are more then satisfied. Every lodge was diffrent from the other but all of them offered us a good service, a clean place to sleep, wonderful wiew and food. Besides the... more

I think the previous reviews provide a pretty good idea of what to expect. It's far from luxury, but you are on a very remove island without much infrastructure. You can't sleep in the same bed as your partner (just bunk and single beds), but that's probably just as well because it is fairly warm at night. There are lots... more

We have had the best diving experience, we were deciding between a live aboard and the “Dive triangle” with the Red Mangrove. A great decision!!! Diving was excellent, the diving, the crew, the guides and accommodation were great, and overall it exceeded our expectation. It was one of the best trips in our life. more

We only spent one night here and it was raining during our stay, so my review is a bit tainted by the weather conditions. First off, the island does not allow large boats to dock directly. So we were forced to transfer to a smaller boat that would take us to shore. In the rain, this can get a little... more

Thank you for your candid review. You are quite correct in the various limitations you describe about Floreana. We constantly pay careful attention to guest feedback and when and where possible, incorporate your ideas and solutions on how we can improve. Power, and the lack of, is always an issue on Floreana and we do our best to work within...

Most people will stay here as part of the Darwin triangle tour and hence it will be a single night and an English speaking guide will be with them. I chose to get Red Mangrove to transport me to the island and stayed there for 4 nights. If you do this, you will have no English speaker there except for... more
