Veronica accompanied us on our three-island tour, and made sure my son and I were happy with our Red Mangrove rooms on Santa Cruz, Floreana and Isabela, and that our group was able to do the activities it wanted to. Veronica was friendly, efficient and vivacious. Veronica, along with Gustavo, our naturalist guide, went out of their way to take... more

We chose this hotel for 3 nights after a Galapagos cruise. We stayed in Casita 1. We loved it. The ocean views, recommended by other reviewers ,are fabulous but for me lying in a hammock in our own terrace looking up at the Mangrove trees was the unique attraction of this hotel. I would not swap it for anything. We... more

My wife and I decided upon a land-based tour of the Galapagos for our honeymoon in May, and we organized our trip through Red Mangrove. We booked the 5d/4n Darwin's Triangle program. Everything about the experience was first-class. The Aventura Lodge is a beautiful, unique hotel, we had great service, and everything was very well-coordinated for our trip. We were... more

We stayed at the Red Mangrove for two nights following a four night cruise. While the view is beautiful the hotel does not provide the amenities it should for the high price of the rooms. The hot tub was not working during our stay and there is no pool. Service in the restaurant for breakfast and lunch was so poor... more

Dear KCDMIAMIFL, We at Red Mangrove first wish to offer you our sincere apologies for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay. Obviously, we work very hard so guests depart happy, but sometimes, in spite of our best intentions, things will go awry. In your case, you are correct that the jacuzzi was not working. Because we are on an...

We had an amazing time on our Red Mangrove adventure. But what made it stand out was the staff - Veronica was an excellent hotel host and made sure all of our needs were met (and then some). Duncan was an awesome guide - really knowledgeable, fun and willing to go the extra kilometer to help you have a good... more

We have had the best diving experience, we were deciding between a live aboard and the “Dive triangle” with the Red Mangrove. A great decision!!! Diving was excellent, we saw everythhing we wanted to see:White tipped sharks, hammer heads, galapagos sharks, giant rays, mantas, sea horses, pinguins, etc, etc, etc... The diving, the crew, the guides and accommodation were great,... more

My husband and I just returned from the "Darwin Triangle" trip where we experienced all three Red Mangrove accomodations. We planned to stay two extra nights in Puerto Ayora, but had such an enjoyable time, we decided to stay another extra night at the Red Mangrove instead of our planned two nights on the mainland. The staff changed our flights,... more

nice location but more minuses than pluses at the Red Mangrove unhelpful and unsmiling staff, room was full of insects because of the swamp that envelopes the inn, breakfast was small portions and average choice one good thing - free bike hire for the price you pay you should get better, much better nest time i will go for a... more

Dear Mr. Kenbeee. Once again, your feedback is as appreciated in public as it is in private. And once again, we can only apologize to you for your perceptions of our employees. To be fair, if you look through Trip Advisor, the very same you complained about impress others so much they rave about them by name in Trip Advisor...

I had a great time at Red Mangrove. I had the Azul Suite which was a beautiful room with great views! Service was excellent, diving was excellent and the sushi was excellent...all the better when sitting outside over the sea. It was great seeing the marine iguanas on the deck, the fish at night in the lit water under the... more

The Red Mangrove not only has hotel rooms but they also rent very nice apartments. I stayed at Casa Cruz (departamento/apartment) for 1 week. It is only a couple of blocks from the Red Mangrove Lodge and the main area of town. It was much more than I needed as a solo traveler but their hotel rooms were booked during... more
