I was vising Abu Simbel last year with my family and I had no clue how it was coz it was not in our itinerary actually.
We reached there in the evening and quickly checked into this hotel. The hotel was big and had a swimming pool, a restaurant and a decent big garden around it. The two good things about the hotel is, it overviews the lake and its awesome. The other one is, its the closest hotel to the abu simbel temple, at a walkable distance.
The room service was poor, even at the restaurant the waiters were not very attentive.
We did find a lizard in the room and we shifted to another.

Overall its an average 2-3 star hotel. If the main point is to go and see the temple, these issues can be ignored. In a remote place like Abu Simbel, it was not too bad.

Egypt did have the racist attitude, I wonder we got some special attention if we were white skins!! more
