Seti resort just adds to the serene aura of this wonder called Abu Simbel. It is located in a near perfect setting with the waters of the Lake Nasser lapping nearby. The Abu simbel light & sound is one of the best in egypt and staying at this resort makes that dream come true. Definitely recommended. more

I must say after reading some reviews I was worried about saying in this hotel but found the staff very friendly. The set meal & breakfast were not only filling but really tasty. The room was ok and had air conditioning which is a must down there as it was nearly 40c! It’s not a luxury hotel but comfortable, after... more

If you have to stay at Abu Simbel, this is the only decent option. But if you are wondering if it's worth to overnight at Abu Simbel (and Seti) or do Abu Simbel as a day trip from Aswan, I would definitely go with the latter. For one, the little village is very typical but is not worth the stop... more

I read the reviews about this place before booking, so I knew cleanliness was going to be an issue. I have always dreamed of going to Abu Simbel & would have slept in the sand to spend the night there if I had to. I thought this had to be better then the sand....I was wrong! My experience.... Check was... more

The setting for this hotel is beautiful. It's right on Lake Nasser and the pool and most rooms overlook the lake. Although it's a 3 star hotel, the rooms are clean and nice. The only disappointing part is the food. You almost have to eat here and the buffet is ordinary. I would definitely stay here again. more

I stayed at the SetiFirst Abu Simbel hotel from January 16th - January 17th. At check in the hotel's reception manager charged me a US $40 extra person fee - even though my reservation was made for Twin beds. My father and I became violently sick from the food served at lunch and dinner on January 16th (which we were... more

Abu Simbel had been high up on my list of "places to see before I die" for many years and, I'm happy to say, I was not disappointed. Unlike the previous reviewers' experience there were a number of Japanese tourist groups when we were at the Seti I, so the hotel was certainly not empty. Flying in at Abu Simbel... more

The Abu Seti really was the highlight of our recent trip to Egypt. It is by no means the most luxurious hotel I've stayed at, but will be the hotel I will remember the longest. The rooms are set in little blocks of stone bungalows, covered in bougainvillea and other flowers. Whilst they are probably not up to 4* standard,... more

outlook and view on the shores of Lake Nasser excellent. Not much to do but we enjoyed our one night stay. We were able to see the light and sound show down at the temples, which if you don't stay the night miss out on. The planes come in and fly out again in the morning and miss this. People really... more
