My friends and I wanted to spend a night in Abu Simbel to avoid the crowd and to see the light and sound show at night. There are not many hotels there so we chose the cheapest one, Abu Simbel Village.

This place is very expensive for the value. The room was a little bit filthy. The hostel is also far away from the temple, about 2Km, so you need taxi. There are not many taxis there so we had to agree with the hostel owner the journeys to the temple, about 10 Egyptian pounds.

If you want to spend a night in Abu-Simbel it might be worth to book in a hotel close to the temple, with better rooms and toilets, and you can save the taxi money.
