We were looking for an all inclusive hotel complex, with loads to do to keep a six year and a ten year old entertained for 14 days.

We looked at the pictures already on this site and looked at the water park in particular.

The diamond and beach hotel forms part of the golden5 city resort.

On arrival, we were impressed with the enormous size the complex covers as we soon discovered the Diamond hotel shares the site with four other hotels and the diamond itself is actually made up of around 10 blocks with about 24 rooms in each block.

The staff on the whole are very helpful and polite, but are always looking for tips to make up their wages.

As with everything though the harder you look, the more you will find.

Unfortunately though you don't have to look for very long before you find problems.

My first concerns were with the build quality of the hotel, which is advertised as a 5 star resort, but routinely we found loose tiles... more
