We arrived at 8:30 from a long drive from Florida, checking in was a breeze, the concierge was very polite and even walked us to our room demonstrated where everything was at and how it worked. The room was amazingly clean and bed was very comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be our go to place when needed.

Needed a place to stay for the night and found Horizon Inn. Reviews seemed good so i took a chance. Overall, it's a decent place. A few comments; 1) security glass window at check-in was off-putting. 2) rooms lack sufficient outlets for electronics, 3) hotel is run by a family and there always seems to be a family member lurking in the hallways. 4) rooms are clean but dated. 5)Bed was surprisingly comfortable but pillows are flat. 6) microwave and fridge in room is a plus. Overall would i stay here again? Probably depending on price.

My son was going to New Jersey for training. He hadn't received his itinerary yet so I made a few calls to see which hotel he was staying at. After a few calls, Singh from Horizon Inn told me he was booked there. My son drove and stayed one night. While at training the first day, he learned that was the incorrect hotel. So he had to go back to Horizon Inn after working all day and move all of his belongings out. They charged him for half a day, because they said "he was leaving earlier than his reservation", when had no reservation. I called to speak to the Manager who was very rude and told me he was going to now charge my son for the whole week even though he was only there one day. I called my credit card company to put a block on Horizon Inn and disputed the second day's charge.…

We stayed here for 1 night before flying from Newark. Handy for the airport. Quiet room. The hotel was right on the main road, parking was directly to the side of the hotel. This hotel is great for a 1 night stop over.

This was my first visit to New Jersey or New York City, so I was looking for a place my colleague and I could stay and make it into NYC. When I pulled up to the hotel and walked inside I was a little worried. The lobby smelled of cigarette smoke and the clerk was sitting behind a glass safety window...great, TripAdvisor had steered me wrong and what kind of hotel did I book were the first things running through my head. The was quickly dispelled when the clerk quickly checked me in and even offered to help with the bags (which I was a light packer and didn't need any, but it was wonderful to ask). I was still worried when I climbed the stairs to the floor and could still smell cigarette smoke and a slight odor when entering the room. The room/bed were very nice! The odors were quickly eliminated with the A/C and a spritz of odor eliminator spray. The room was very clean, though my blackout curtains didn't close all the way so the street light was shining in all night (this happened to be a blessing as I could then see when I needed to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night). The pillows were to soft for my liking and could use to be replaced. There were plenty of toiletries and other necessities, I'm sure the host would have gotten me whatever I needed. Worth the price and a pleasant stay. It's conveniently located near MetroPark Station for a trip into NYC (I'm sure there are other stations closer with parking, but this was my choice). Parking is free, which is a blessing in this area.…

This place looks like nothing from the outside... But my word! The host was so darn friendly and so accommodating! He helped us up the stairs with four of our very heavy suitcases. He told us about the free coffee pod flavours. He let us choose our room; a very large one to accommodate our four large cases. The room was very clean. The laundry cost $1 per load. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed here for a few days while on some personal business in the area. Found this place online and gave it a try. Seldom have we found a nicer and cleaner place. While it is not a new structure, it is well appointed. Super clean room, bathroom and common hallways. Shower and tub, impeccably clean, Toilet with a strong flushing mechanism, and not a spec of dirt anywhere. Bed was comfortable, rooms have a decent TV, refrigerator and microwave. A commercial Keurig in the hallway with various flavors of coffee to choose, 24/7. Vending machines and ice. Price was very reasonable. Seems it’s family owned and managed. Everyone we encountered was helpful and polite. Decor was not my taste, but very very pretty nonetheless. Always available parking on site. Lots of crappy hotels up and own the road, but this was a gem. Would stay here again without hesitation, and would recommend to everyone.…

Had to book a room for two nights for a business trip. All the big name hotels were booked but Horizon has rooms and even offered to let me view the smoking and non smoking rooms to see if the smoking room smell would be too strong for me. Hotel was very clean, bed was comfortable, and WiFi worked. My only complaint is that the outlets were all behind the dresser and I didn’t think to bring my long charging cable. Would stay there again.

We found this quickly as we were leaving Manhattan very late and wanted a place just down the turnpike. When we arrived, there was a young man with a black eye sitting on the curb in front of the door smoking. The couple checking in ahead of me were being rude to the man at the desk, questioning the higher price (Taxes, he explained) and threatening him if there weren’t enough towels in their jacuzzi room. The man from the curb came in as I was checking in to ask for a toothbrush. Aside from the other guests, this hotel was nice and comfortable. The man who checked us in was very friendly and helpful, even offering to help us carry our luggage up the stairs to our second floor room. The room was large and clean. The TV and fridge worked well, and the water pressure in the shower was very strong. The decor, however, was terribly outdated and didn’t match at all (See someone else’s seashell bedspread picture, not the nicely renovated pictures someone else has posted). Overall, this hotel is a reasonably priced, clean place for a night’s sleep on the way elsewhere.…

Some of the hotel is a little dated but looks like family own and staff was very friendly. We checked in late and had to check out early so was a very short visit. The front end staff was amazing. Originally it was just me and my wife staying but due to emergency their ended up being 5 of us. With out asking the guy at front desk walked us to our room and on his own grabbed extra pillows, towels and blankets.
