Like many others I wanted to go to Saint Catherine to climb mount Sinai and see Saint Catherine monastery. My luck was that the monastery guesthouse was full, so I called this friendly bedouin owned place and got a memory for life.
Even if you really just stay here a night or two it is still great because the beuin camp is right next to the mountain trekking office and all the people you meet there can guide, arrange guides and know everything about trekking, cameltrips, deserts, mountains, canyons, beduin customs and beduin cooking: Hey - they are beduins! Furthermore they speak very good english.
After a week in buzzing Cairo we spend a wonderfull week here where the air is pure and the only noise at night came from the laughing and cardgames we were taking part in.
