We had an excellent stay as our hotel room faced the beach front and pool an absolutely gorgeous scenery to wake up to. My daughter and myself had an amazing time at the hotel and staff were excellent and friendly and for her birthday on the 10th of March the waiters had arranged for a birthday cake to be delivered to the table and sang Happy Birthday. Ayman (waiter outside restaurant) arranged it all. Her bed was also beautifully decorated which was such a nice touch. Overall, we enjoyed our stay so much we are planning at some point to go back. There is amazing sea life if you like snorkeling on the beach front or simply just lie on a beach bed and soak up the sun with a cool drink in hand. There is also scuba diving on-site and lots of other activities to do. We enjoyed our 3 spa day treat so much so on the last day we still booked an extra massage before coming back from our holiday. There are also lots of restaurants on site for you to choose or simply have a buffet meal. Overall enjoyed our stay and will most definitely be back.

A warm welcome awaits at this luxury hotel. The staff are attentive and the needs of guests are foremost. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are well appointed. The pools are pristine and there are plenty of loungers available. Food is excellent and there is a varied and plentiful choice in the buffet restaurant. Separate themed restaurants are available for those preferring more intimate à la carte dining. The beautiful grounds are well maintained and there is an abundance of bougainvilleas. We have stayed twice at this hotel and will certainly be returning.

Great location, outstanding customer service from every single member of staff no matter where you go, everyone will do their absolute best for you. It was a special trip so we upgraded to the Royal package (approx £100 per night, per room extra) . This means you have a room in the child free area, a dedicated beach area that was never busy, a breakfast and lunch restaurant that is just for Royal guests and has a brilliant chef -Hermina- who loves his job and will cook you anything to order. ( try the chocolate and strawberry pancakes!), plus lots of other extras ask at reception for info. We honestly were treated as if we really were Royal, we will definitely be returning. If you don’t upgrade you will still have a lovely hotel room and experience. The hotel is in a great location with great sea views, a pier goes out over the coral so you can see the fish and there are snorkels and flippers for you to just borrow and a life guard on duty, for sea and pool, between 8 and sun down. The pool side pizza and burgers are fabulous and ice creams are all part of the package. The jacuzzi is within the spa area and you need to book it, but I peered in and it looked nice. I had a massage which was about £20 for 30 mins might have made a mistake saying hard massage but it did solve a sore shoulder lol. Additionally one of the big plus’s of this hotel is that a large pool is heated to 25 degrees which is fabulous for this time of year. If you want winter sun, friendly professional staff, nice big room in a great location you can’t go wrong here. If you want to feel super special( and be in the child free zone) go Royal you honestly won’t regret it. The only down I can say is the pool music it is really not necessary to have the head banging loud music that they have playing at set times during the day. youngsters all have head phones now and listen to what they like, so please please turn it down and make it less head banging, unless you want to be like an Ibiza club hotel. Tips -Upgrade to Royal! -Take mosquito repellent the little rascals used me as a buffet the first night but not after I used repellent - Don’t bother bringing Egyptian £ no one wants them, they all want $ even the taxi drivers, not sure about the local shops though but guess they would take cards, - Don’t buy anything in the hotel shops , it’s super expensive - Go to the old market when the sun has gone down, the view of the mosque is lovely , we are not great shoppers (or good at bartering) so had meandered round in about an hour and a half - taxi cost us about £ 20 for there and back.

This was our 10th visit to this hotel, we stayed 8 times when it was a Ritz Carlton 2005 - 2013 and then once in 2014 after it became the Monte Carlo. We were not sure how it may have changed after a gap of 10 years due to the security situation at the airport, Covid etc. We cannot recommend the hotel highly enough but it is worth doing some research before booking as there are two experiences, the Monte Carlo and the Royal Monte Carlo. The Monte Carlo is good, maybe better for families, the Royal Monte Carlo is excellent and is for adults only who want to pay a little more for superb personal service. Think of it as a 4 star hotel alongside a 5 star hotel. We went Royal and will return on that basis. The grounds are an absolute delight to walk either during the day or at night when they are illuminated. I haven't seen better maintained gardens than these outside California and my congratulations to the extensive garden team who are a credit to the hotel. The staff are unfailingly helpful but a big shout out to Mohammed (Luxor) and Hermina who between them run the Royal club and attend to every need of those in the Royal Club. They both went the extra mile nearly every day to ensure we had the best stay and would be 90% of our reason for returning. Hermina is the best chef in the hotel and Mohammed the "fixer" who understands what his guests need and arranges it. A shout out to to Abanoub who serviced our room so well every day and Abanoub who ran the pyramid bar at the top pools. There friendly and helpful personas were a joy. It was lovely to also talk with Mahmood in Blue Ginger who has been at the hotel for nearly 20 years and knew so many of our old friends from the Ritz days. Some tips: firstly, the food is plentiful but not perhaps gourmet in Monte Carlo the way it is in the Royal Club. Egyptian beer is quite good but if you want something like Heineken you will only get it in the Royal Club. The local spirits, gin, whisky etc. are OK but do not expect premium brands from the UK/US. (If you look at the quantities that some guests imbibe such as vodka you will see why). We took our own gin and rum and that worked well and we were happy to do so. It was clear that the hotel takes health and safety very seriously, with at least one lifeguard on every pool, responsive security men and so on. One downside is that the Lazy River is no longer active the way it used to be. The main pools are spotless, the beach area is cleaned and raked every day and there is an animation team if you want it - or plenty of quiet areas if you want that. Finally - please - tip the staff! It is amazing how many people don't bother. Tipping is a part of life in Egypt and it is as much to show appreciation for a job well done rather than a top up to the wages. They won't hassle you or chase you down the street if you don't tip but they will be disappointed. 50 - 100 pounds here or there (about £1.25 - 2.50 currently) will go a long way and be appreciated in return! We are already planning our 11th visit!

We upgraded to the Royal section and money well spent the room was lovely good mini bar bowl of fruit and bottle fizz waiting.Beebo from housekeeping kept our room clean and always on hand offering help. The Royal restaurant which was for breakfast and lunch was amazing. Chef Hermina and waiter Ahmed were fantastic cooking fresh fish or what ever you wanted with Ahmed very attentive also bringing drinks to the beach regularly. Mohamed took over from Ahmed for the last couple days and was also excellent. The main barman in reception was brilliant we went to see him every night for a few and he mixed us up some great cocktails and finally Michael the manager over seeing everyone was excellent always asking if we were happy or needed anything so helpful and kind you were ALL brilliant people and we can't wait to return as soon as we can to see you again Lots of love David and Carole Simpson from Newcastle UK

It is quite understanding how many of my TA colleagues have awarded this hotel a good rating (both very good and excellent) . Already from the drive onto the property it gives one a 5 star image and impression. The grounds are immaculate and so magnificently maintained. Already from the reception where you are met with professionalism and whisked away by a “golf cart” to your spacious room gives you the sense of style and luxury. It is quite evident that the former owners of the hotel (Ritz Carlton) have left their high standard and the hotel is ideally set in a most magnificent setting. One of the key attractions is the reef with its clear blue sea is stunning. The loan of snorkel equipment is an added bonus. Perhaps one of the biggest assets the Monte Carlo offers is the staff. They demonstrate hospitality, warmth, good customer service and to ensure you will enjoy your holiday throughout. I could name lots of the people concerned but they range from reception, sous chefs, waiters, room cleaning, beach attendants to the behind-the-scenes staff who ensure delivery is at a premium. They deserve a pat on the back. Well done to you all and thank you. The cleanliness around the whole property is good and deserves full merit for the hard work in keeping it at that high standard. Rooms are spacious and the cleaning is again a high standard. Fresh room and beach towels are changed daily. WiFi was both good in the room and in the main areas of the hotel. There is both the Royal level and the Ultra level to choose from when you are making your booking, depending upon your needs and requirements. I would suggest the Royal level and on my next visit I will book in the Royal as it does offer just that little bit more. The location of the hotel is very near Hadaba and the Old Market. A quick taxi ride 5USD each way is worth while if you are looking to purchase presents at a good rate. Don’t forget to bargain with them. Dear management, you do have all the ingredients for making this an excellent choice for customers, but I do suggest that in your next business plan you make allowance for: A) Food & Beverages. The food is plentiful and on occasion well presented, but a more in-depth look to address the Indian Palace (First rate interior design) but you lose it with the menu and taste. The Grill restaurant food is identical to the Fayrouz restaurant. The white wine which you offer on All Inclusive is I’m sorry to say, not drinkable. The red wine is palatable but only just. B) A look at the beach towels being collected/dropped on the beach or by the pool area. C) An investment in communication skills for the staff– English is poor and not always understood. D) The dress code in the evening is not always enforced especially in the A La carte restaurants. The whole total concept is good and deserves the high rating, and with a few more ideas would be integral in further enhancing your total product

We were at the hotel in early February. The area is the most beautiful in Sharm, the rooms are very good. T5he beach, sea and reef with fish are wonderful. The food is disgusting....I have never seen worse food in Egypt. In Egypt 5 times and always took 5 star hotels, in terms of food and drinks this is the worst hotel.

Not our first time in Egypt, but so far one of our best trips. It's our third time visiting Sharm El Sheikh. The first thing to catch our eyes was the beautiful territory. It was absolutely mesmerizing! The reception staff were welcoming and made sure we have a fast check in. Our rooms were spacious and clean, the housekeeping was coming daily. We were leaving a few pounds on the bed each time and they would make different towel decorations for us. The food was quite delicious as well. Animation guys were really fun, they were inviting us to join stretching and aqua gum every day, however we would like to specially mention the kids entertainer Daniela. We came to the hotel with our daughter and she absolutely adored her. We visited the kids area a few times and we liked the fact that we could leave our daughter there for awhile and Daniela would play and take care of her. Every evening there's mini disco for the kids, even though during our stay it was mostly russian speaking children, our daughter was able to have fun. After the mini disco the evening program starts, it's either performers coming from outside our the animation team making shows by themselves, both of which are nice to watch. We went outside the hotel a few times only, but we would like to advise to take taxi from outside the hotel, since it would be much cheaper than ordering one in the reception. Overall our experience was great and we would definitely come back if given the chance.
