HOTEL: Recently remodeled. Lovely, open, spacious with omnipresent views of the ocean and islands. Pool is small. Ocean views & breeze from dining area. Trees behind hotel laden with fruit bats—cute. I stayed at GIR with my local dive group - we were the first group there since the new management took over. They were still finishing with the restauration when we got there. We absolutely loved this hotel. The employees were absolutely fantastic. The location to diving was 2nd to none. We traveled here with friends for dive trip and had a great time. The only thing that we found to be absolutely disgusting was the management. We thought that they treated their employees terribly and they were rude to us on occasion.... more

Wow! Garden Island has a new owner, new management, and has been remodeled into a delightful resort. My patio had a jetted spa with an option of privacy curtains, or a view of the ocean.
