Away from the tourist traps of Fiji you will find this idyllic and beautiful privately owned island. You are greeted by almost everyone you meet "Bula" means hello and Welcome! Savasi Island is 15 minutes from the regional airport and the small local town of SavuSavu. Set in 53 acres it has two roomy (3 bedroom) villas with every comfort available; including your own personal chef (Rusi) who creates and cooks your three daily meals with fresh and local ingredients. Ma (Rusi's wife) will also make any arrangements for you and this can include a home visit massage. Lots of activities around if you want to be busy - diving, snorkelling, kyacking, reef walking and if you wish, a pearl farm visit. If you just want ro relax this is also for you; if you want bright lights, loud music and huge impersonal shopping malls this is NOT for you. We loved our time here and found it hard to leave - we will definately return. more

Noticed this property has finally been listed on Tripadvisor - have been dying to write a review!!

Wow, what a place! If you are tired of typical holidays, maddening crowds, small hotel rooms, too much bling, and resorts with no soul, you will find Savasi Island a heavenly respite. The island is connected to the mainland by a bridge, so you are secluded, yet not isolated - about a 10 min taxi ride to town.

We stayed in the 'reef' villa, it had 3 bedrooms (each has own ensuite), and all connected by expansive timber decking, a bit hard to explain, but see pics. So it's also perfect for a family or group of friends. Fully equipped from towels to kettles, you hardly need to bring anything!

The villas are nestled amongst tropical gardens and have the most incredible panoramic views of the water. At nights we would just sit on the deck enjoying a drink and the sunset and stars, and listening to the water.

Plenty of activities if that's what you want...
