We have stayed at the Dandimayo many times and thought it only fair to share how good it is with others! (Please remember that all things are relative; we are talking about Africa, not Brighton!)
The rooms, including the bathroom and small kitchen, are kept very clean. There is aircon and a fan in the bedroom and a ceiling fan in the living room. The beds are huge and really comfortable with linen and towels changed daily. Breakfast is delivered to your room.
We love the pool; we never have to fight for a sunbed and beach towels are provided free on request. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. It's an easy walk to the Senegambia Strip where there's a huge choice of places to eat and if that's too much effort, there's a small cafe bar about 20m along the road for cold beers and snacks.
Taxis are readily available for trips further afield and the reception staff will make sure you get the best 'Gambian Price'! more
