Great Hampton Inn with a great staff. We were in town to visit White Sands National Monument and the clerk offered the use of saucers free of charge for sliding down the dunes. There's a Chili's in the parking lot that is open late. more

This is a very clean and up to date Hampton Inn. Location is about 15 minutes from White Sands National Monument. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. We ate dinner at a nearby Mexican restaurant, Margo's. It was very good. more

This was an attractive enough, but ordinary room. And it was as clean as most chain hotel rooms. However, out of all the places in which we stayed (La Quinta, Best Western and independent) it was the most expensive. The others were nicer. The continental breakfast was poor (few offerings and not very healthy). more

The Hampton Inn Alamogordo is one of the typical ready-mades you'll find anywhere near the Highway entrance. We stayed a few nights at this hotel while we were visiting White Sands. The hotel is OK, but the staff was somewhat inexperienced. I had one free night with Hilton Rewards, and was going to pay for my second night. They suggested that we move to a different room for the second (paid) night. That made no sense whatsoever.... more
