We stayed at the victor dec 2007/jan 2008 on an all inclusive basis, booked with thompson. The hotel was very clean and the staff all lovely. The breakfast was good as long as you got to the bacon before the eastern europreans!!! After having to escape a hotel down the road (the Donna Terezhina) we were offered The VE and went to have a look before accepting.
