Its affordable, pretty close to all the touristy places in fort kochi and has one of the best hosts possible. The husband and wife are nice friendly people, helping us with the tour program and all. There's a basic North Indian restaurant nearby that they pointed out to us Rooms are nice and clean The AC might be a bit problematic though... More

In Feb 2012, my friends and I took our daughters back to India to explore the land of their birth. They were 8 - 9 years old and had been away for 6 years. The Kovil Homestay was exactly as I'd hoped... It was comfortable and clean and felt very homey. In my book, it's a perfect place for an... More

I also had not intended to stay here as first choice but Fort Kochi can book up as it is very touristy. I was very pleasantly surprised. 800 INR (including breakfast) is about standard for stays here. The place was clean. The owners are friendly and don't go the hard sell on anything. We ended up staying an extra night... More

The madam started to talk about her cooking class and the drawings of her daughter (that she sells) just a few minutes after I arrived....
