You arrive up a dusty track to a newly refurbished hotel on the edge of the desert. Excellent location just 20 minutes stroll to Jaisalmer fort. Rooms were of a high standard, although no view due to the high wall keeping the desert out. Meals were limited as some items we chose were unavailable but with the restaurant located on... more

This place was gorgeous, the stone work is mesmerizing. The floors are clean enough to eat off of. Views from rooftop restaurant are incredible, Jaisalmer feels like a fairy tale. But we seemed to be there late in the season (way too hot!!), and the resources of the hotel/restaurant could not handle the size of our group. In India, we... more

Set on the edge of the desert with wonderful views of the Fort; early morning walks through the desert to the lake and its birds; delicious vegetarian food;large comfortable rooms; helpful staff. All contributed to a very successful four days. Insist on peanut masala with your drinks! more

Gazi and Lucy Khan take great pride in their hotel, nothing is too much trouble to please the guests. The hotel is a work in progress but will be exceptional when finishing touches are added. The location is quiet, but close to the town and Fort; there are lovely views of the desert and the fort from the upper terraces.... more

We spent 5 nights in this wonderful new hotel and can highly recommend staying there. It has a fantastic position with views of both Jaislamer Fort and the Desert. The en-suite rooms are large, the beds comfortable and the facilities good. The terrace restaurant serves excellent food set against a backdrop of stunning views. The staff are very helpful and,... more

I stayed 2 nights in "Golden Haveli" during our 1 week trip in Rajasthan. It came out to be an excellent choice. It's a very comfortable, brand new, very clean and perfectly located hotel (only 7 minutes walk to the Fort). The staff (and the manager) were extremely helpful and courteous at all times - they did not seem to... more

I have just stayed in a lovely new hotel in Jaisalmer which has been built in the haveli style. I stayed in one of the suite rooms which is a huge room with ensuite bathroom and shower. The hotel does not have tvs at the moment but I understand they will be getting them in the future. There is a... more
