Me and my spouse went for a trip to Jaisalmer from 27th september 2009 to 29th september 2009 and had our stay in Mandir Palace. The hotel is a heritage property partly converted in hotel. The position of the hotel is fantastic and probably the only hotel from where you can view the fort of Jaisalmer in the night. However,... more

The hotel is very nice, exspecially the building but not so much our room. It was located at the ground floor, clean but nothing special. Anyway the bathroom was ok and spacious. The hotel is located just outside the center but you can easily and safely walk to all the places. The real surprise was the restaurant, we were 6... more

We stayed for three nights and had a wonderful stay. Mr Rathore and his staff are extremely helpful and when we advised of a small bathroom problem we were upgraded to another room with no fuss at all. If you want a heritage hotel full of atmosphere with it's amazing architecture this is the place. The waiters in the restaurant... more

This was a lovely hotel to stay in. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and clean as well. The building is beautiful and to top it off the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is also in a good location with many good restarants and shops nearby (it also has its own rooftop restaurant with good views). I... more

To stay in the 300 year old Mandir Palace is to experience a perfect blend of the old and the new. The Palace is so beautiful and romantic; the staff and the room were outstanding. After dark, I meandered through the various hallways and common areas of this very ornate sandstone structure, imagining how it might have been to live... more

We stayed at a hotel in Jaisalmer fort in December but decided to leave the fort as we found it overcrowded, overbuild and being destroyed mostly by tourism and businesses connected to tourism. It was raining when we were there and the fort was saturated with water, sewage and over run with wandering cattle and cattle waste. This fort is... more

Jaisalmer was the 4th city we visited on our 6 cities tour of Rajasthan. This was a low budget adventured / cultural tour for my husband and I and we arrived in Jaisalmer late at night rather exhausted from the road trip...Fortunately, we were very well received at the Mandir Palace. Our room was ready and we were invited to... more

I spent two days in the Hotel with my Girlfriend - it was really magic and the Girlfriend loved it too. Very good beds (I can't understand the other comments to the contrary in this posting) and friendly, helpful staff, but the best is the unbeatable atmosphere of this beautiful palace. This was definetely one of the most memorable hotels... more
