After 2 nights at the Fifus' Guesthouse, we stayed 3 nights in this wonderful place. Babu's welcome, chaïs and breakfasts were the top (and if you show enough enthusiasm, you may even get Babus' chaï recipe and learn with him how to do it!). A great place to be at the heart of the city and the best way to... more

When you meet the owner of Monsoon Palace and Fifu Guest House (Om Kewalia) you will understand why these are the 2 top places to stay in Jaisalmer. Our experience of The Monsoon Palace, which is a lovingly restored jewel, in the Fort itself was the highlight of our month long trip to India. Beautifully done golden stone rooms with... more

Moonson Palece is one of the best option if you want to stay in side the fort. Hotel Monsoon Palace Jaisalmer This is a two room B&B in a great location in the Jaisalmer fort – rooms are small, clean, comfortable, nicely furnished and have everything you need for a few days in Jaisalmer. There is a private roof terrace with good views. Hot water works but runs out pretty quickly. Breakfast is just toast and fruit... more

Monsoon Palace is situated in the Jaisalmer Fort. It has two rooms which are very nicely decorated - you can feel as if you are living at your own little home. This place was one of the best places I stayed in India within this price category. Breakfast on the roof terrace with looks down to Jaisalmer city and the... more

Monsoon Palace is not the easiest place to find when arriving but there is no need to be concerned as Jitu &/ or Fifu will ensure from the moment you set foot in the beautiful Jaislmer, the hustle and bustle of previous travels is soon forgotten. We were met at 5.00am at the train station and quickly rushed off to... more

Our family stayed in the Monsoon Palace a few weeks ago and we tell everyone that it was the best place we have ever stayed (anywhere) especially with the kids. Fifu is a lovely man and made us feel very special and cared for. Babu's smile will stay in our memories forever, I am sure. Everything was perfect. The rooms... more

We arrived tired and jaded after the long road trip to Jaisalmer and were greeted by the wonderful owner "Fifu" who ensured our stay was the nicest I have experienced in the entire of India. The Monsoon Palace itself is a beautiful little guest house situated in the heart of the Fort. In terms of location you cant get any... more

We want to recommend a lovely place to stay in Jaisalmer. Hotel Monsoon Palace, is a charming, small hotel, inside the castle of Jaisalmer. Two nice and very friendly brothers, Jitu and Fifu are running the place. The hotel is built new out of the ruins of some old building. When we stayed in the hotel in february, 2005, they... more
