This was a charming place, with lovely views over the lake. The adjacent restaurant served very good food and we enjoyed a puppet show one evening. It wasn't in the center of the town, so it was very quiet at night. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we had a totally lovely stay. more

We spent two weeks travelling in Rajastan and this was the stand out hotel we stayed in. We were lucky enough to get a corner suite (no 17) which afforded us views over the lake over towards the ghats of the Old Town and the Palace while out of the other window we could watch the comings and goings at... more

We stayed in room 17 with gorgeous lake views in two directions, and windows that opened wide to let in the morning sun. The room was large, super clean, and the bathroom was equally as nice, with double sinks, and hot water all day long. It is outside Chandpol gate, thus slightly removed from all the hustle and bustle of... more

A fantastic hotel. We had a suite with amazing views over the lake. The room was enormous, spotless and beautifully decorated. Reading a book as the sun set over the lake as the sound of the indian musicians playing gently at the restaurant below was one of the best Indian experiences we had. The restaurant wasn't cheap but the food... more

Amet Haveli is a clean, well-situated with scenic vistas hotel. Good food, and helpful staff. We stayed at room#7, which provides a good view of the lake, the city palace, lake palace, and fair view of the lake banks. The outdoor-restaurant provides a even better view of the lake, and the places around it. The restaurant - Ambrai - fills... more

We stayed in this hotel 2 nights, and had dinner at the restaurant 3 times. Due to it being off season we were the only guests in the hotel and hence received very good service. The rooms are good but a little bit dated and compared to the more upmarket hotel we had stayed in before we needed to adjust... more

We spent 3 days here. It was low season so the hotel was quiet and there was some extension work going on but we weren't disturbed at all by noise. The rooms are spacious, clean and cool but we spent little time indoors since the hotel's open air restaurant was too enticing. The restaurant was amazing; the food was great,... more

We stayed 2 days and a night at Amet Haveli. The location of the Haveli is good. Right across the lake are nice views of both city palace and lake palace. We were in suite 12 which provided good views of both these palaces, though would have been nicer if windows were bigger. The in-house restaurant Ambrai serves great food,... more

I stayed at Amet Haveli for one night. My train arrived Udaipur early, so they let me check in around 8:30am. All rooms face the lake and mine had a great view of the city along the lake but did not have a view of the Lake Palace. This was not an issue since the view from their restaurant is... more

My husband and I stayed here for two weekday night in April. The best thing about this hotel is the location and the view. It is on the east side of the lake so the view looking at city palace is amazing. The best views are from the restaurant Ambrai which has reasonable priced excellent Indian/Chinese food. We ate here... more
