Kurumba village located on the way to Conoor from Mettupalayam, is delightfully scenic place. I actually visited this place in Sep 2009. Restaurant and swimming pool, lawns around are a visual treat. “mixed experience at foothills of ooty”

If you drive down from ooty via coonoor , the drive seems never ending on the very crowded and narrow Ooty - Coimbatore road. However, we were upbeat about what lay in store. journey could be tiring to reach this place but its worth to visit ..awesome place very nicely maintained , very calm & quite ideal for those who wants to stay away from city . It was a different experience to see natural water fall from you room balcony.... staff is very good

“Paradise on Nilgiris”

The location is one of the most beautiful I have ever been. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and well maintained. Food at the restaurants is great, and environment is calm and relaxing. Employees are very helpful and friendly. The best thing I like was the pool, it’s fantastic.

“Experience the wilderness”

Our short stay at Kurumba Village Resort was quite memorable. The serene surroundings, fresh breeze, wake up music of birds in early mornings and short walk through the near by forest make one to unwind effortlessly.Staff are very polite and helpful. Food is quite good with good choice for vegetarians like us. On the whole a great,soothing experience.

“Kurumba Village Resort - beautiful, but ageing”

First things first. For all those travelling from Bangalore, this resort is not between the 4th and 5th hairpin bend up to Ooty. You need to go right up to Ooty, from there to Coonoor and descend from Coonoor to Metupalayam. On that descent, between the 5th and 4th hairpin bend is where the resort lies. The front office staff were unfortunately a bit disappointing. They had weak communication skills and didn't give the best first impression. The view was amazing and the kitchen staff were also great. Food could have been a bit more variety (we stayed 9 days), although I'm sure it's hard to deliver things up the hill.
