The staff was very nice. I'll bet this place was really nice when it was brand new. It is not brand new anymore. My room had a musty odor. For a hotel of this category, more care should have been taken in not slopping paint and varnish where it doesn't belong. At least they have repainted obviously, but not recently.... More

We went to monarch in April 2012....It was a very pleasant stay.Had a very good time there.We played a lot in the badminton court and had enjoyed it a lot .The food was very tasty but we felt it was a bit overpriced.The garden was very beautiful.Overall we had a very nice time.....

We travelled to Ooty last year and stayed in the Monarch. Nice place,nice and neat rooms,good food,really good lobby area,the only drawback is the location,its located in a steep hill,other than this it is a good place to stay.
