Stayed here for one night as part of a Golden Triangle tour. Found the quality and the service very average - room was clean and comfortable but the decor was a little tired and dated. Pool looked nice although didn't get chance to use it, food was somewhat disappointing. Would recommend if you're just looking for an overnight stay. more

I usually try to stay at Hotel Amar, alas on this visit it was full, that said it is nothing spectacular but I know it. A few door away was the impressive looking Mansingh Palace from the onset the reception staff were odious, slimy 'salesmen' trying to impress and think they are giving you some wondorous offer. I have travelled... more

Disappointing, rooms were damp (okay probably the air conditioning) even the sheets were damp, not nice to sleep in. We had an amazing view over the Cooler and noisy Generators, NOT.The food wasn't great either. Shame when you think how near you are to the beautiful Taj Mahal. more

This hotel was very busy with international tour groups. The night I arrived they were experiencing power supply failures, yet their own generator backup made them unnoticed. As a single person the staff gave me sufficient attention, even though they were busy with others. Meals were nice. Other guests seemed quite happy too. more

I stood in this hotel in July 2009 and had a very good experience the rooms are very nice the staff very helpful the hotel was very expensive but worth the money. The hotel restaurant was good and though I did not get to use it the pool looked beautiful. the biggest plus of our experience was the car they... more

Quite a big hotel with all the services, pool, restaurant, live music, laundry ( even if you dont request it they come to wake you up to ask). Not really my style , too big and busy, we had a good room one with a view from afar of the taj mahal, room was quite big and comfy but old... more

The Hotel itself provided most of the amenities expected for budget travel, but the attitude of staff was apalling. I am not sure if the staff took exception to two female travellers but it appeared that our very presence was an inconvenience to the front desk and restaurant staff. During breakfast, waiters waved us away from them if we needed... more

Large room with marble floors. Very nice accommodations, a short ride to the Taj Mahal. Not as close as the Oberoi (within sight of the Taj), but I'm sure it's WAY less expensive. Used a lot by tour groups, so you may find it empty one day and crowded the next, but that's not necessarily bad (we met a nice... more

This hotel has a very nice lobby and restaurant. The rooms are very nice too however the service could do with improving. The TVs in all of our rooms were not working and I had to complain twice before they sent someone to sort the problem out. The hotel is in a good location for the Taj Mahal. Be prepared... more
