Clarks is a very long-standing hotel, which somehow still clings to 5 star status. It certainly continues to charge 5 star prices, but unfortunately the standards nowadays are more like 2 star. We literally booked this hotel at the last minute, and were glad when we got there. Although the floor in our room could have used a good vacuuming, the hotel was clean, though a bit run down in areas. We were very impressed by the attentiveness of the staff to any of our needs -- from laundry being picked up... more
