“Pool use only”

First, we only used the pool as recommended in a guidebook. So no opinion about the rooms and service. The website advertised with pool, "jacuzzy", and steam bath for 200 rupees a day (8:00 - 20:00). When we arrived they said it is 300, pool only und only until 17:00. We complained about the different information on the website. Instead... More

The hotel was one of the best amongst Benaras City. Look and heritage was very nice. However the service was not so good. They have not enough number of service boy compared to the rooms. Persons working at reception desk are also very lazy and not habituated with the computer and third generation works. The food items has no varity.... More

“Enjoyed our stay at Hotel Surya Varanasi”

Great hotel nice room, very clean.Lovely pool Friendly staff sooo helpful. We ate in the restaurant most nights and they really looked after us. One of the best stays during a six week tour of Northern india. Highly recommend!

“Highlight of my time in India”

Stayed here for four nights last August and loved it. The only hotel where I felt myself and my belongings were safe. Super clean, super air conditioned, amazing nights sleep. The pool was wonderful and the staff couldn't have done more to help. Eating dinner out on the lawn was just magical. Excellent. Thankyou!

“Friendly Staff”

The hotel is located 10 mins from Varanassi Junction railway station. The staff on check in were excellent and friendly. The rooms were clean however the bathroom could do with upgrading. “Calm oasis amidst chaotic city”

This is a wonderful colonial-feel hotel. The Swimmingpool is excellent and a welcome sight after a day out in the heat of Varanasi. The hotel is centrally located and the restaurant top notch and quite affordable.

“Great hotel with very friendly staff”

I wonder if we arrived a day earlier, a room was provided Disposition us immediately. The staff at the hotel, as well as that of the restaurants was absolutely great. Also, the pool staff were very helpful and friendly. For my next visit, certainly my first address! Supper we had a great stay.

“Good, clean hotel”

Hotels in Varanasi are hit or miss. The Hotel Surya is a solid hotel. You get clean accommodations, a nice restaurant, and a clean bathroom for a reasonable rate.
