Hotel Filigree is on Camel's Back Road, a little away from the noise of Mall Road. We'd booked two rooms, one of which was upgraded to a superior room (free!)

The superior room was large and clean but showing its age. It had large bay windows with wonderful views of Landour and the Mussoorie Hills.

The standard room, next to the kitchen, was extremely noisy till late in the evening. As it was built into the hill, there was no view from the window. However, the room itself was clean and large.

Both the attached bathrooms were rather small, and we had to maneuver ourselves carefully every morning for our shower. Hot water was from an electric geyser in the room, available whenever we remembered to switch it on.

Room service was reasonably fast, as long as you didn't hit the peak breakfast time. Most of our other meals were outside the hotel. Service was extremely friendly.

Overall, the hotel was very quiet and peaceful. We do wish that... more
