Staying in Denpasar instead of Kuta/ Legian/Seminyak always raised a few eyebrows even among enquiring Balinese. However, my wife and I wanted to be around the Balinese rather than tourists. Our choice of the Inna Bali Hotel in central Denpasar proved fortuitous. The management was courteous and interested in our opinions despite hosting a huge Indonesian Conference for the PKA.... more
