It might not be a gem, but it's the best value for money I know in Legian. It is located close enough to the beach and ideal for shopping. They are good at taking bookings on the phone and by email. They have a lot of rooms, around 50 I think, but the place remains quiet and there are never... more

Located between busy Kuta and high-end Seminyak is a very small town called Legian. The Kumala Hotel is very nicely situated at 5 minutes walk to the beach. The bungalows are very nice and the prices (17 euro for a standard room with airco) is sooo cheap. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. At breakfast you could even choose... more

We were recomended to this Hotel while in Ubud and rang to confirm next day accom. Very obliging staff and very reasonable price for standard of accomodation. Approx A$75.00 per night. We stayed in SG block overlooking the pool. Rooms were well fitted and quite spacious room service was good. This is quite a sprawling hotel with approx 6 -... more

I booked 3 rooms for our family of 7 and I must admit that I had higher expectations after reading all those wonderful reviews on tripadvisor, I was a quite disappointed with the rooms. We stayed at the NS block. Rooms are spacious, with comfortable bed and bathroom. However, one of our rooms were unmade when we checked in. We... more

This was our first trip to Bali and I think this hotel was perfect, we stayed in "S" block and thought the room was big and was very new. The pools were very clean and huge!!! Only thing about the place is the breakfast and restaurant, we didn't care for the breakfast menu very much, although there was a good... more

hi - I would recommend this property. We were pleasantly surprised that, despite paying such a low price, we had a wonderful, relaxing stay. I like that we had a balcony, a clean and very large room, a beautiful and clean bathroom, and that huge pool. It was always warm and we even went swimming in the evening (even though... more

We stayed for eleven days family of five children aged 5,9 and 13 years. Had heard so many great reviews but wasnt to happy when I arrived. We paid 160 us per night for the ambassodor rooms (2 rooms with a loung/dining in the middle). Both bathrooms were full of mould and the mirrors deteriating and a generally scungy smell... more

Good location at the beach, great breakfast. Room was large and clean, a bit tatty at the edges. Towels and bed linen were gray and falling apart which put me off the whole room! more

Breafeasts were compulsory and quite monotonous. The linen was very grubby and the towels were definately not white! Bleach maybe! Preferably I would prefer to stay in the older section. As for the Umbrellas, Come on guys there is not enough to go around and of course there are the people who throw the towels on the lounges and go... more

We stayed for a total of three nights during Indonesia's Independence Day in mid August 2008, booking a total of three rooms of which one of the them was the Presidential Suite. While the pricing of the Presidential Suite (2 rooms with a large dining table, small kitchen and living room) was very reasonable at IDR1.8m or USD200 nett, the... more
