we checked into this on our last day because we had to leave at midnight and just really needed a place to put our luggage and shower. we were pleasantly surprised - the lobby and swimming pool area are very nice and very peaceful. We stayed at the Bali Agung Village on a friends recommendation and had a very enjoyable stay, decent locations 10 mins walk from bars and restaurants and 10 mins from Seminyak Beach, quiet and a good pool, helpful staff and a pretty good breakfast. The location of this hotel is right next to Sofitel, however the way is long from the main road. And if you do not rent a bike, it is quite a walk and in the hot hot humid weather of Bali, the walk can be long. It does look impressive from the lobby, pool and the entrance to the room.... more
We stayed there for two nights and I have to say that I got what I paid for ($25 US per night ). Location is hard to find (we arrived Bali at 9:00 p.m. and the taxi driver had a hard time finding this hotel). Room is small and dim and the bathroom is quite rundown. "slightly' rundown! We stayed here for only 1 night. But this was more than enough. Unattentive staff, rooms are badly maintained. Breakfast was everything but tastefull. There are so many much nicer places to stay. more
We stayed at Bali Agung Village in May 2007. Location is convenient - walking distant to shops, bars, beach. Our room was nice and clean.
