This hotel, with a little bit of work, could be not just good but fantastic. I had four nights here and thoroughly enjoyed my time, but I have many of the criticisms that other reviewers mention. My room did smell musty on arrival, the towels and sheets were old and threadbare and I had to ask for a change. The... more

We booked this hotel on the advice of our travel agent. We arrived and checked in with no problems. Our room was at ground level (I forget the number), and very dark. As soon as we walked in I thought it smelled mildew-y, but my husband is always hassling me about my overkeen sense of smell so I ignored it.... more

We stayed at the Pertiwi for three nights in Oct., 2009. The grounds are incredible. Trees everywhere. Two nice pools. We stayed in one of the villas with a private pool and loved the room. 15-square meter pool, very nice bathroom that was outdoors, total seclusion. And the breakfast (off a menu) was a nice change was the from the... more

Me and my partner went travelling for 4 months and this was the first place we stayed in after a gruelling 16hrs travelling on flights/taxi's etc. The welcome was fantastic and when we got to our room (bungalow over looking the rear pool) we were amazed at how big the room was and how beautiful it was, the balcony was... more

Having just returned from Ubud, staying at the Pertiwi, I have to say we were disappointed. Whilst the grounds were lovely and the staff friendly and always willing to assist the rooms were in bad need of attention and the breakfast provided was dreadful. Even though breakfast was included, we chose to eat out, unless we were heading off early.... more

The Resort is beautiful with the rooms spacious and clean. Each room has a great verandah for sitting and relaxing after a day of shopping and sightseeing. Ask for an upstairs room if you can, they have amazing 18 foot ceilings made of bamboo and thatch. Great pool and helpfully staff. We loved it .Outside on the street are plenty... more

Was booked in here by an agent in June and walked out after one night. Admittedly I hadn't questioned the difference between Superior & Delux (you are only booked in the budget room was the response from reception. The room was a cell with the bathroom sink almost next to the bed. Lamps over the bed were an 'electrocution waiting... more

Everything is nice but the room is so disappointing.... The air-corn was not working well, the bathroom is not very clean, towel with stain... The room is just very basic (Deluxe Room) yet it is quite expensive (USD95). But anyway, it was a bonus to have WiFi in room. more
