We wanted to stop and chill out in teh mountains on our way from Ubud to the North of Bali. Read a good review in an old Lonely guide :o)
the rooms are very shabby, although with a makeover it would be very nice. The restaurant is really not good but it was the only one open at night (at peak season!) in the whole area. Do not stay there, or in any other hotel, as it is devoid of any other tourist at night. seems like everyone is doing day trips from Ubud to see the volcanos. And it is not cheap, 99 USD for a "rice pad view" deluxe room. and USD 70 for a pool view standard room, small and shabby too. the hotel is right on the border of a very busy road with a lot of buses, not nice, but fortunately you do not hear the noise from the rooms.
