I ended up at Ubud Village Resort as my first choice, Komaneka Monkey Forest was full. Despite the fact that Ubud Village Resort is slightly out of Ubud (5 min drive in complimentary hourly shuttle), the hotel more than made up for this. The hotel is set in stunningly beautiful and well maintained grounds overlooking paddy fields. Our villa was... more

We very much liked the rooms, with the romantic patio and the sky-open bathroom. Breakfast was the best in Bali and all the staff of the hotel without exception was very friendly and helping. the room service did a great job to bring order in the room (vacation with children!). We booked the room at Ubud village Hotel with a... more

I have to admit I'm pretty surprised to see some of the critical reviews of this resort. We have just returned from a trip around Bali and stayed for three nights in this hotel- and it was bliss. Upon entering you feel like you've arrived in paradise, and for us, that didn't change. The grounds are beautiful and very well... more

When you arrive at The Ubud Village Resort you think you have arrived in Paradise but that illusion is soon shattered. It looks very beautiful but the standard of everything is like that of a hotel on the brink of going bankrupt. This is the only hotel I have stayed in, that the coffee was even awful! The food was... more

After 12 nights in Seminyak we arrived at paradise, eveything about this place is first class. The staff were the most helpful and friendly we have encountered on our journeys and the resort itself is a haven of escape from the worries of the world. We are already planning our return - a big thank you to all. more

This is a must for anyone who wants something special to remember forever. Set in the rice fields and with a non stop shuttle bus into the heart of the town, the hotel is perfection itself...each villa has its own pool and indoor and ourdoor bathrooms and with thatched roof and sourounding rice fields it is pure Bali at its... more

Smooth check-in, friendly staff, beautiful looking place and then there's our villa: how beautiful to be welcomed to your 'home' and you see a large garden, walled villa for complete privacy with pretty foliage and flowers as well as a lovely pool and cabana plus loungers and outdoor dining table plus view of rice fields. Then enter a very spacious... more
