We travelled on an overnight flight to Ben Gurion Airport, then train to Be'er Sheva Merkaz. Reception allowed us into our room at 11:00. This was very much appreciated. I stay in hotels for about seventy percent of the year, and my experience here at Golden Tulip Negev has been my worst hotel stay in a very long time. This hotel appears to be run by people that appear more interested in socializing with one another. The rooms - grim. Stained carpet. Bed is a mess; exposed box spring.... more

The doorman packs heat. The lobby is a bit desolate, but it's really cool - which is kinda key in the desert. Our room was light and pleasant. A/C was great. Breakfast was good. I recently spent two nights at the Paradise Hotel. It bills itself as a 5-star hotel, but it isn't. The rooms are a little shabby, even though the hotel is relatively new.
