Hello my name is justin and i have some very important feedback to share about Old Jaffa Hostel and Guesthouse in Tel Aviv, Isreal. My major issue with this hostel is that after my first night sleeping in one of there dorm rooms, i developed very itchy and red marks over 75% of my body within hours the marks became... more

When I stayed here, the owner Arnon Cohen and his wife treated myself and my partner Emma with utmost respect, managed to find us a fantastic room which we could decorate ourselves, even employed us. For those of you who nitpick about this place, please . . . go elsewhere. Your paranoia makes it so hard to enjoy oneself. Book... more

Ive been in this hostel for 4 nights., Its really a nice place to stay and meet people. The location can not be better. In the quiet site of the city, close to the beach, with a flee market all around, and if you want to go out at night, its more or less 20 min walking from the bar/restaurant... more

i loved this place. we stayed in a double room which was furnished really beautifully with old antique furniture, that lent it a lovely homely charm. the building is stunning, with an amazing roof garden and terrace. i would definitely go back and would have loved to stay longer. the owner is great and all the staff were really helpful.... more

My husband and I met at this hostel! Always a great group of travelers around along with random friendly staff. No matter where you are form there will likely be someone around who speaks your language. The owner is a very nice guy. Yeah, it's a bit dirty but if you are looking for a 5 star place, you'd better... more

Sitting on the roof terrace surrounded by persian rugs, old battered chairs, a fountain and various plants, we cooked a pasta dish, cracked open a bottle of red and watched the sunset over Tel Aviv as the local mosque called the faithful to prayer. It was 2009 but could have been 1912, 1948 or 1978, the interior of the hotel... more

OK - so it's not run like a 5 star hotel, but that's not what this place sets itself up to be. What it has in spades is charm and atmosphere. My husband and I loved this hostel. We were there for one night at the start of our first trip this wonderful country and we loved it. The staff... more

This hostel is variously described as either 'quaint and charming' or 'dirty and in need of repairs'. It's both. Stay here if you're a budget backpacker that likes sleeping on the roof, it's cool enough for that. Don't pay for a room. Location: Excellent. Heart of the old market. Walk outside to the best part of Tel Aviv (in my... more

We stayed at this hostel on a recommendation from a friend. The first night we were in a room without a window that could open, the sheets were not clean and after an uncomfortable night woke up to discover cockroaches crawling over us! Another person staying there reported that he also had bed bugs! We asked to move and were... more

If you want to save some money during your stay in Tel-Aviv and try something a little different, you must stay at this hostel. I booked a private room for 5 nights and was very pleased. It is important to remind yourself that this is not a hotel - it is a hostel. There are travelers moving in and out... more
