My room was near the front desk and one of the largest in the hotel. Although the size was fine the accommodations are very basic and no view from the room. The staff was helpful but over worked and not friendly. The breakfast was the best in Israel and the views from the restaurant are breathtaking. It has a nice... more
The hotel is charming and housed in the typical picturesque stone houses with high ceilings and round arches. Lovely garden and overlooking the mountains and hills. The breakfast was one of the best that I've experienced ever. Walking distance to the old city and local eateries and cafes. We loved it. more
First, we were given a room in the old section. Charming, but the weather was chilly and raining, and the heater hardly put a dent in the room's chill, and then water began rushing in onto the floor. We were able to move to a small room (large closet) in the newer wing, and while it was not wet nor... more
The rooms are nice and the views are beautiful. God arranged a rainbow right outside my view on my first morning! This isn't a great place if you have lots of luggage or bags with wheels as my room was only accessible via a big set of stairs. But the staff was helpful. Breakfasts are the standard Israeli buffett as... more
My husband and I stayed at the Ruth Rimonim in Sfat for a long weekend. This hotel has a great location in the Artists Colony in Old Sfat. It is made up of several of the former artists' houses and two larger buildings. It has a spa, that I understand has recently been refurbished (although we did not visit it... more
Very beautiful setting, old arab house, breathtaking views of Har Meron. We were put in what seemed to be the old section, with old rooms and smelly toilets. Food was surprisingly good. Swimming pool had freezing water. more
We stayed at the Ruth Rimonim of Safed for 2 nights in early July. Our likes were: big pool, nice architectural designs, beautiful property and view, relatively small hotel, nice sized rooms, personal service in the dining area, kosher hotel, supposedly the nicest hotel in the area, comfortable bed, large windows in older hotel sections, nice security guards, Dislikes: not... more
We stayed two nights at the Ruth Rimonim on our recent trip to Israel with our two daughters, ages 11 and 8. The hotel is very charming, with a lot of stone arches, and a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. The room was a decent size by Israeli standards with a decent size bathroom and tub/shower. Our room also... more
We've just returned from a lovely holiday in Israel, spoilt only by the awful experience of going to this hotel. We arrived, after a 3 and a half hour taxi drive in 37 degree heat, at 3.30 p.m. to be told by the rude, surly staff that our room would be ready in "two minutes". Over half an hour later,... more
