The room we had was ordinary and the staff indifferent to our needs. The clerks in reception hung out in a back room and seemed reluctant to pay attention to the guests. On check the clerk ignored that I walk with a cane and put us in a room that required dealing with 2 flights of stairs (plus an elevator)... more

Although Safed is a beautiful city surrounded by mountains and ancient buildings and alleys, this Hotel Ruth Rimonim Safed is very expensive and one doesn’t get his/her money’s worth. The rooms are old –like an old New York Hotel except some rooms have a nice view of the mountains. The bathroom is very crowded and the door breaks in the... more

We stayed for the weekend, food and service was pretty good but the room felt like it would have been nice 20 years ago.. basically needs a bit of a revamp. In terms of location it is fantastic for visiting Safed. Pool area is big but grim and generally pretty expensive for what you get. more

My room was near the front desk and one of the largest in the hotel. Although the size was fine the accommodations are very basic and no view from the room. The staff was helpful but over worked and not friendly. The breakfast was the best in Israel and the views from the restaurant are breathtaking. It has a nice... more

The hotel is charming and housed in the typical picturesque stone houses with high ceilings and round arches. Lovely garden and overlooking the mountains and hills. The breakfast was one of the best that I've experienced ever. Walking distance to the old city and local eateries and cafes. We loved it. more

First, we were given a room in the old section. Charming, but the weather was chilly and raining, and the heater hardly put a dent in the room's chill, and then water began rushing in onto the floor. We were able to move to a small room (large closet) in the newer wing, and while it was not wet nor... more

The rooms are nice and the views are beautiful. God arranged a rainbow right outside my view on my first morning! This isn't a great place if you have lots of luggage or bags with wheels as my room was only accessible via a big set of stairs. But the staff was helpful. Breakfasts are the standard Israeli buffett as... more

My husband and I stayed at the Ruth Rimonim in Sfat for a long weekend. This hotel has a great location in the Artists Colony in Old Sfat. It is made up of several of the former artists' houses and two larger buildings. It has a spa, that I understand has recently been refurbished (although we did not visit it... more
