Villa des Roses Beau Vallon Bay, Seychelles,
Booked and advised the hotel we would be a late arrival on 7th June 08. Was assured on several occasions that this was fine.
We arrived at 10.30pm to find the place deserted. We called, knocked, hooted, went to police station up the road and called their no. but to no avail, looked like it was completely closed. Building material laying around and "nobody home" No reception notice or where to find the reception, walked all around and all locked up.
We eventually left and had to find a hotel at this late hour - needless to say we did not go back as it looked scruffy outside, so who knows what we would have found inside.

BEWARE, Mahe is a lovely island, but beware of small beaches, there are thieves lurking in the thick undergrowth and they will rob you of your bags etc. I had the misfortune of this happening. I saw the robber still in the bush, pleaded with him to give back my bag, that I would give him the... more
