Top rate staff, from front desk to cleaning services to maintenance. I stay at this hotel whenever I am in Albany. I have left things in my room that they have tracked down. They have found a room for me even when they are overbooked. The attached restaurant is very good -- much better than typical hotel restaurants. more

Staff is wonderful. Even the cleaning or maintenance people you meet on the elevator go out of their way to be welcoming and friendly. Facility is the nicest Hampton Inn that I regularly stay at - slightly more upscale like a full fledged Hilton. Location is perfect, with an eclectic selection of eating and drinking places all walking distance away. more

Had a 1 night stay at the Chapel St location over the weekend. Ever so slightly on the edges of downtown. This should be branded a Hilton because it's so nice. But here's why it shouldn't: - housekeeping didn't clean under the toilet seat. My wife would have flipped out if she saw that. - the sheets had a stain... more

I stay in Hilton family hotels all over the US probably 100 nights per year, many of them in Hampton Inns. I love this particular brand because it's solid, predictable and unpretentious. Having said this, the Albany (downtown), NY property completely blew me away on my recent stay. The beautiful, highrise building is only a block from the State Capitol.... more
