We (a family of 4) stayed at the Paradise Hotel in mid-July and have to admit to disappointment, especially since our expectations were pretty high because it is a Relais and Chateaux property and rated a "super-deluxe" hotel in a category with the Lotte and Shilla. We were not able to find much information about it on the web, though the hotel has a promising website, but it had been recommended to us by a Korean friend. The good news: the hotel has a lovely setting high up on cliffs overlooking the ocean; the service is first-rate; the lobby is very nice; the rooms are comfortable (but, at least for the Mediterranean-style room, which constitutes the bulk of the rooms, not particularly distinguished or roomy). The bad news: the nearest beach access is 25-minutes away by taxi; the pools were not as nice as they looked on the website and were too cold for our kids even in mid-summer (no one else was in them either, and towel service had not yet started (!)); you have... more
