I had longed to stay in this hotel for several years but was rather disappointed by my recent experience here -- perhaps my expectations were too high. Our seven days at Saman Villas were just perfect. There are only about 27 villas, so you get to know all the staff who are hand picked to work there and cannot do enough for you. We stayed at Saman Villas at the end of November 2008, after a tour of Sri Lanka. What to say about the hotel, well to start with the rooms.
