We stayed at the Tamarind Hill on the way down to Tangalle, it was the perfect place to stop to break up the 5 hour journey. Even though we arrived about 12 hours earlier than expected Charlie and Tweeney Wrey welcomed us with amazing hospitality and offering us anything that we could possibly require. The rooms are decorated with great style and have unusual touches to add a slightly different edge. Finishing touches such as mosi candles and incences were much appreciated. Our room had a private garden overlooking the swimming pool area which was divinely calm and relaxing. The swimming pool was empty and plush. Breakfast was a wide variety of both Sri Lankan and European food of both healthy and unhealthy varieties! Service was impeccable. Our whole experience at Tamarind was one of luxury, ultimate relaxation and comfort owed in the most part to Charlie and Tweeney who went out of their way to ensure that our stay was perfect.
