Daladawatte near Mirissa, Sri Lanka, is the best property we ever stayed at and mind you, we normally stick to 5* resorts. The property is stunning, set on the beach in a quiet village. The rooms are great, filled with antiques. The food is absolutely perfect, served on the garden. The staff is very friendly and they do everything to make your stay pleasant.
The owner, a former musician Barbara is a perfect host and she has about 20 dogs on the property. If you don't like dogs, don't go.
Please note that the guesthouse is Barbara's very beautiful home and she makes you feel at home.
We were very happy during our stay for 6 nights in December 06 and will return.
