My sister and i have just returned from a holiday of a lifetime in Sri Lanka. We stayed at the Club Hotel Dolphin in Negombo in a cottage on the beach and we are missing it already, having returned on the 24th August 2009. The hotel was amazing, nothing was too much trouble, the rooms were kept spotlessly clean, the... more

The hotel has a quite large building with rooms and huge pool and an area with bungalows and a smaller pool and spa tents next to it. The fist are has a restaurant and bar with music and more people. The second (personally we liked it more) was almost empty and offered great relaxing time. He spa and massages are... more

Very friendly and, mostly, helpful staff. Lovely relaxing decor. Fantastic food, with themed evening meals. If you like curry’s then you won't be disappointed. Good value, so don't expect 24 hour all inclusive. The accommodation was of good standard and simple design. The pool was a favourite with the rest of the family but l prefer the sea. However due... more

The end of our Sri Lanka tour we spent a couple of days at the Club Dolphin, we chose it due to it's proximity to the airport (30-40mins) and we just wanted some where to relax. The hotel is exactly what you would expect, plenty of food and drink, a massive pool, bars and a sprawling mass of bungalow blocks.... more

Just back from 10 days at the Club Dolpin in Negombo...and pretty much nothing but great things to say about the place. I travelled with my husband and we wanted a quiet, relaxing time. We arrived at 10am and a room was ready for us, right next to the large pool, great view of the beach..but before long the animation... more

Just returned from two weeks at the Hotel Dolphin with my fiance. We had a brilliant time and the whole holiday was absolutley faultless, which is so uncommon these days. The hotel is fantastic and the staff work round the clock to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. It is immaculately clean both inside the hotel and the actual hotel... more

I first stayed at this hotel in 1999 on my first trip to Sri Lanka. That time it was with Portland holidays. Since then I have travelled a number of times independently and usually stayed at Silversands further into Negombo. This time my regular independent guide Upul, of Sri Lanka Tailored Tours booked me into Dolphin Hotel for the start... more

Lovely little hotel, fab beach and no problems with the food. Entertainment al low key, but the team work so hard and some of the shows were very funny. Beaches are amazing but dont expect time in the sea, its a bit rough. Get out and about and see the island, we hired a man with a car and went... more
