Stayed my last night in Sri Lanka here just to be close to the airport. For the very little I paid I was pleasantly surprised to get a large, comfortable, clean room with working aircon, fan, TV, sea view. Wouldnt really have wanted to stay any longer as the place was sadly a ghost town. more

Definitely not a boutique hotel, the Sunflower is however the ideal place to stay at the beginning of your trip and at the end. Stayed at The Sunflower Beach on the last day of a fantastic tour around Sri lanka. The Hotel is very clean the rooms are fabulous for the price. Air conditioning, balcony (I had beautiful sea view) Parque floors and very tasteful furniture. Very central for restaurants,shops and booking further tours if required. The Sunflower Beach is a friendly hotel, its inexpensive the food is excelent and if you have children you can see them in the pool from all the rooms. Stayed there for two weeks half board March 2004. Hotel in need of updating, but adequate for the price paid and the staff were very nice with great sense of humour.
