After a grueling work week in Delhi, I decided to take a solo Diwali weekend to Sri Lanka to relax. I choose the Ayurveda Pavilions because it was easy to book the treatments with the hotel. I was picked up by the hotel driver at 3:00 am at the airport and a hotel staffer was awake and waiting for me.... more

The hotel describes itself itself as "luxury" but it isn't. It is quite basic - the food is variable, sometimes lovely and sometimes not with quite a limited menu; the accommodation is basic (holes in the mosquito nets etc) and quite clean. We stayed one night en route to the airport, and really enjoyed it. The pavilions are clean, with their own private gardens and huge bathrooms.
