I stayed one night in this dated beachfront hotel close to the airport ,our top floor balcony room was very basic but quite clean with a mosquito net, quiet with an uncomfortable mattress, basic breakfast, wifi only at the reception...

This was the smallest room we had for the entire trip. The room had very basic furnishing and didn’t seem too clean. There was only one electrical point in the room, which could only be accessed by climbing onto the bed. How silly is that!
The shower cubicle had stains everywhere and the shower drain was clogged so be prepared...

We first emailed We first emailed the hotel to make a booking, when they didn’t reply we phoned them to confirm a double room, at 2600. We advised the hotel we would be arriving at 3am after a long flight. The man who we spoke to did not seem very coherent on the phone, despite saying yes we weren’t sure...

We stayed 2 nights in Silver Sands and had a room with A/C. The size of the room was very good and we especially liked the huge terrace with sea view. Room had a mosquito net and hot/cold water but no TV. Basic, but good and also good price (about 30$). You can directly access the beach from the hotel;...

I pre-booked one night’s stay here for an early morning flight. I saw a few negative reviews about this hotel but I had no problems with it. It was a good budget option - its older style rooms and facilities but they were clean enough, tho not spotless. It was basic but had everything you needed including free wifi in...

we have stayed here 4-5 times over the years-very convenient location close to the airport
the old boy who runs it - a real gent-they always do what they can to accommodate you even if it means shifting a few rooms about-rooms closer to the sea are the best with lovely verandah spaces-rooms are sparse but clean at around 20...

We stayed here 3 nights in a top floor balcony room which was adequate but not exceptional (no AC). The bed and mossie net was ok, but the bathroom wasn't up to it. The cold tap in the shower needed belting to get it going, the curtain was about to collapse and the drain was blocked, leaving yucky grey water...

We stayed here twice in Aug & Oct 2011. We stayed in one of the 2000 LKR rooms & for the price they are quite adequate. The mosquito net’s work well but the mattresses are a little uncomfortable. The bathroom is OK & the room is quite a decent size with a balcony. The hotel is located right by the...

Nearby airport, 10 minutes car trip. We were allowed to take rooms in the morning to sleep a bit after a night flight.
