We wanted an affordable hotel to go with the cut-price air ticket to Kaohsiung for a 5D/4N getaway and Holiday Garden fitted the bill at USD90 per night (room only). They bill themselves as 5 star, but I would rate it maybe as 3.5 to 4. Nice room with a mattress that's not rock-hard that you usually find in Asia. Large room and nice bathroom. Great fitness center downstairs and a large pretty pool. Close to everything. In-room safe and fridge. Breakfast wasn't good at all. Would stay there again... more

This hotel was booked for us as part of a 5-day Taiwan tour. The staff was warm and friendly upon our arrival and at breakfast. The room looks reasonably new; it is nicely decorated and roomy.
