We stayed here last year in Feb 2012. The rooms are very clean and very big (we had two double beds in one room) and staff are extremely friendly. Located close to the entry of Tarangire, you don't have far to travel to get to the park. Would really recommend this tented lodge :)

Located right in the bushes of the Tarangire National Park, the camp provides an experience of living it out in the bushes with only the tent separating you and the vast wildlife of the bushes. Staying at Roika tented lodge is a perfect mix between the safari spirit and the luxury of eating and sleeping well in between the adventures. After having stayed in a couple of nice tented camps during our safari we were really impressed by this one. The tent was spacious and well maintained, the bed comfortable, the washroom clean and almost a work of art because of the wood carved bed. Maasai guards accompany you to and from the dining area to your tent (nice touch).... More

Quick "in & out" arrived for 1 night only, before final day on Safari in Tarangire. Owned & run by the local Maasai, which felt good. Tends ara beautiful and they're clean. Food is acceptable, but tipical from the region although with a Tanzanian flavour. This was our last stop on an 8 day safari, and this place didn't live up to the others by far. The room we were given was very far from the entry, even though I'm fairly certain it was just us... The staff didn't help us prepare out tents for the night so we had to climb on the side... More
