This was the first of four Serena lodges that we stayed in on our safari. Accommodations,food and service were all excellent. Grounds are well maintained and you can walk around. You need a flashlight at night.

This colonial style lodge is absolutely lovely. The room are fine, but could use a little maintenance. The rooms have the appearance of individual cottages, but are attached together. Very nice property but nothing around property but a lake. The hotel offers an excursion around the Lake ( additional charge) but not too much to see. A few birds and lizards and the trail is very rough.... More

The rooms are charming and the bathrooms excellent. The food is fairly good but the service is both slow and over attentive. The hotel grounds are relatively small and there is nowhere to go so there is not much to do here. It's fine for a rest after a night flight from Europe. .
