A nice and quite place just far enough out of the centre. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. The food is tasty and of reasonable value. There is free wifi available in the reception area, and comfy sofas to sit on. The staff are professionals and friendly. Highly recommended. more

We spent a few days here before and after climbing Kilimanjaro and going on Safari. The rooms are variable ranging from very small with no bathroom to large and comfortable with huge bathrooms. The staff are friendly and used to people coming and going and will look after luggage etc. The hotel food was very good but not really cheap.... more

I visited my daughter who works in Tanzania and we did a safari to visit Ngorongoro Crater. We spent two nights in Jacaranda where my daughter reserved for us. One before and one after the safari. The food was exquisite. The staff was very friendly (we arrived very late and the chef reopened the cuisine for us). and the rooms are... more

This is a really charming place! They only have a few rooms, but they all have a personal touch. Every room has its on theme. We spent five nigths here and slept in three different rooms. (Our stay were a bit extended due to some stomach-trouble..) We were happy with all three rooms. Most nights we got to stay in... more

I stayed here for 2 nights. (One day before I started my safari and another day when I returned). The rooms were simple but clean. I would just recommend that you keep th windows close so that bugs do not get inside. I left the windows open and ants got inside the room - which took some time to get... more

The rooms, at least the one I had and those nearby at the bottom of the garden, were "nothing to write home about", bfor me, the general ambience of the hotel and the really good restaurant more than made up for the mediocre room. I especially loved the wonderful gardens, the scent of which at night up in the restaurant... more

This place is great. We had just spent a week in the bush with little access to comfort and the Jacaranda was perfect. The room was acceptable but the bed was fantastic. A huge four poster with a really comfortable mattress. Shower was hot and didnt run out and the restaurant had some of the best food we'd had since... more

Stayed four nights in total, it was just convenient for us. Hotel is tolerable for the price. Resturant is fine and worth trying out at least once. We visited L´Oasis and it definately seems more appealing if a little more expensive and out of the way. more

I have previously lived in Arusha, in the midst of 20+ years in Africa. For me Jacaranda symbolised the best aspects of life in Tanzania - Jacaranda is surrounded by mature scented flowering gardens - The 'Queen of the Night' Cestrum bush cascades into the open balcony which is the dining area (above mosquito level), flooding the evening with its... more

Booked our first night in Tanzania at Le Jacaranda. The hotel is set in the suburbs of Arusha but not too far from downtown. The Barclays ATM and numerous restaurants are within walking distance. The hotel looks like a converted house with the rooms set in well tended gardens. The room we got was small, a bit damp and musty.... more
